Preparations are underway for the Special Lok Adalat scheduled for August 21, 22 and 23, 2026, as part of the SAMADHAN SAMAROH 2026 initiative organised under the aegis of the Supreme Court of India. The initiative began on April 21, 2026, with the objective of promoting participative justice and amicable settlement of disputes.
The Special Lok Adalat aims to provide parties an opportunity to resolve eligible pending matters through consent-based settlement mechanisms, helping reduce the burden of prolonged litigation. Advocates, litigants and other stakeholders have been encouraged to participate actively in the initiative.
The programme reflects the judiciary’s efforts to make dispute resolution more accessible and encourage parties to settle suitable cases through mediation and mutual agreement. The three-day Special Lok Adalat will culminate the nationwide SAMADHAN SAMAROH 2026 campaign.
