BJP leaders staged a major protest in Haveri against the Congress-led Karnataka government, raising concerns about the law-and-order situation in the district. Former Chief Minister and Haveri MP Basavaraj Bommai, along with BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra and other party leaders, participated in the protest.
During the demonstration, BJP leaders alleged that criminal activities had increased and claimed that criminals were no longer afraid of the police or the law. They also raised concerns about issues including narcotics, illegal liquor and gambling, while criticising the government for allegedly failing to take effective action.
