Over 1 Lakh Voter Names Proposed for Deletion in Haveri

The intensive electoral-roll revision in Haveri district has reached a crucial stage, with 1,08,641 voter names proposed for deletion following door-to-door verification by Booth Level Officers across the district’s six Assembly constituencies. As of June 16, 2026, Haveri had 13,35,342 registered voters.

According to the verification data, the largest number of proposed deletions—55,694 names—was linked to voters who had permanently migrated to other districts or states. Another 31,805 names were identified as belonging to deceased persons, while 16,636 were duplicate entries. In 4,107 cases, officials could not collect the required information during house-to-house visits or the voter was unavailable. A further 399 cases fell under other reasons.
